Protein Mousse Ingredients
½ scoop Pea Protein Chai Spices Flavoured or Pea Protein Mixed Strawberry
170g Silken Tofu firm, drained
1 small banana (or ½ cup cream cheese)
3tbsp maple syrup
100g smooth peanut butter
3tbsp peanut butter
200ml aquafaba (chickpea water)
1tsp lemon juice
Protein Mousse Method
- Add the protein powder, tofu, banana, peanut butter and maple syrup into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Put the mixture into the fridge.
- With a mixer, whip the aquafaba (the chickpea water) until the mixture forms stiff peaks. This will take at least 6-8 minutes. Add the lemon juice and, after about 5 minutes, and whip again.
- Fold the chilled mixture from step 1 into the whipped aquafaba. Then spoon the mousse into 2 large or 3 small jars and chill for at least 1 hour or, preferably, overnight.
- Decorate with fruits, chocolate chips or other sweet treats! Enjoy!
