Apple Crisp Macchiato

Starbucks has released a brand new fall-themed drink, so it's only right we put our stamp on it and provide you with the recipe, involving our Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate. Want to watch us make it? Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @Nutristrength


Apple Crisp Macchiato ingredients



  • 1 scoop Whey Protein Classic Vanilla

  • 300ml almond milk

  • 1 shot of espresso


Coffee syrup ingredients



  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup of coconut sugar

  • Skin of 2 large apples

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 2 whole nutmeg cloves

  • 1 vanilla pod


How to make an Apple Crisp Macchiato



  • Add 150ml milk, coffee and protein powder into your shaker. Shake until well combined

  • Heat 150 ml milk in a medium saucepan until warmed through- but do not boil. Use a milk frother to get a nice foam


How to make the coffee syrup



  • Bring everything in the pot to a simmer and let it bubble and reduce until syrup is thicker. Strain the syrup

  • This syrup can be saved in a jar in your fridge for up to 10 days

  • Pour the coffee shake into a large glass add a tablespoon of apple crisp syrup, then pour the frothed milk over top
